The early bird catches the worm...
My independent interpretation of hitting pots with a wooden spoon, soon convinced my dad to leave me his drum-kit, when I was only 14. After a few lessons from my dad,
who had gained his experience playing in a Big-band, I decided to better teach myself how to play the drums. Clive Burr from Iron Maiden and Cozy Powell were my inspiration.
To cover bands like "Iron Maiden", "MSG", "Saxon", and "Judas Priest" was the greatest fun for me.

A few friends from school and I started a band. We called ourselves "Born Loosers".
After endless hours of practising, we had three slightly successful appearances.
A first step in the right direction was made. Playing for regional bands like "Cronos Titan", "Canberra", and "Die Suicides", I got my feet wet and gained a lot of experience. I still have contact to a lot of the guys and it is always fun to jam with them.

The jump into the international music circuit was in 1987, with an engagement by "Running Wild", the crew of Rock'n' Rolf. In the following years I played for "Accept", "U.D.O.", "Moon'Doc", "Skew Siskin", "Voice", and "X-Wild".
I also gained more and more experience touring throughout Germany and around the world. As a result, I gained a greater degree of professionalism.

Furthermore, I gained valuable experiences by taking part in projects for radio and TV, and by my contribution to sound records and video clips. "Skew Siskin", "Voice",
and "Der Bote" were a few projects I took part in.
You can find the complete list under "Discography".

In 1994 I discovered a liking of multi cultural rhythms, and extended my skills to hand and effect percussion. With "Duo Mystica", "Willi Dentler and Friends", "Pookah", "Hummerstein '94", and a few solo performances, I was able to experiment with a few other techniques and rhythms. 1998 I got to be part of the ensemble in the cast of "Dirrekt", which broadened my musical horizon even further.
Together with Tilo Heider I fulfilled another dream of mine, by realizing the multi percussion performance project "Duo Toccata".

In the meantime I was able to show my capabilities on tour, at home and around the world, among others, in: Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Luxemburg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and USA.
And the conquest of the world keeps going... During 2003/04 I got to breathe some festival air. Together with Helloween I played at festivals like Wacken, Earthshaker, and Sweden Rock.

Following the "Rabbits don't come easy"-Tour with Helloween, I have packed my bags
and joint the swiss band "Krokus".
We started right away and recorded "Hellraiser" in mid 2005.
While I toured the Clubs with the "Desperadoz" and "Axxis", and toured Europe with
"The Poodles" and "Hammerfall", the "Hellraiser" climbed the charts in Switzerland
and reached second place. This spells golden record!
In the summer of 2007 I moved to Switzerland to be closer to the band,
but in the beginning of 2008 the band Krokus fell apart, since lead singer Storace
agreed to reunite in the original formation.

After helping out the swiss metal formation GoDiva  during their Tour de Europe
with Royal Hunt I have focused on 2 projects:
On the one hand Rene Thomsen's "Ruthless Allstar Project" and on the other hand
Herman Frank's new record "Loyal to None".
This record already received high praise by the important metal magazines.

Current bands and projects (08/2009): Accept, Herman Frank and Reece.
